Introduction

Pendoley Environmental is a Western Australian based marine conservation biology consultancy service. Our expertise is grounded in 20+ years local industry and environmental experience and underpinned by a dedicated and highly qualified team, trained and experienced locally and internationally and comprising specialists in the field of marine turtle science and individuals with a broader background in marine science, coastal ecology and zoology.

We integrate biology into the project planning, construction and operational phases and offer a full range of services across the timeline of a project providing advice during conceptual planning and analyses, front end engineering and project design through to construction and post-commissioning feedback on operational impacts. All of our research and monitoring programs are designed to meet the highest scientific standards, including peer review and, where appropriate and with client agreement, publication in the scientific literature.

We specialise in preliminary hazard identification, ecological risk assessment, both desk top and field based, preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Impact Statements and Environmental Management Plans, baseline ecological monitoring program design and implementation, compliance monitoring and longer term post-commissioning monitoring, staff training, project management, environmental review and audit and peer review of documents and papers.

We understand the temporal and financial constraints associated with large-scale developments and are fully versed in all aspects of industry that have the potential to impact marine turtles and all associated marine and terrestrial fauna and flora in Western Australia. We specialise in efficiently utilizing available resources to provide high quality data returns to initiate biological surveys and assessment, identify potential impacts or threats and provide effective solutions. We are able to provide detailed, standardised data for either short-term (initial assessment) or long-term (monitoring and investigation) studies with practical application to ensure compliance and facilitate development of your project.

A detailed and rigorous safety system is integrated seamlessly into all company activities, both in the office and in the field. All staff are required to prepare and manage safety plans for the projects they supervise in the field.
